Children's Christams Party in Tijuana

9th Annual - December 8, 2007

Torrey Pines Christian Church, in conjunction with Project Mercy, will host this wonderful party. It is a great way to share the joy of Christmas with the children of the Colonias. This is a day-long event. We leave TPCC at 7:00 in the morning and return around 5:00 in the afternoon. Please join us for a great day.

We have a variety of volunteer opportunities on both sides of the border.

This side of the border

• Solicity toy donations
• Organize donations by gener and age
• Purchaes the Christmas tree and decorations and bring them to the church
• Pick up vans the night before the party and bring them to the church
• Pick up cakes from bakery and bring to the church
• Pack vans the morning of the party

South of the border

• Drive one fo the vans to the school yard in Mexico and then return it to the dealer at the end of the day
• Help with crowd control
• Help Santa distribute toys
• Entertain (play the guitar?)
• Paint faces
• Make balloon animals and hats
• Man a craft table
• Collect trash
• Take photos of families
• Take photos of party
• Make video
