Tijuana Christian Mission

Tijuana Christian Mission (TCM) is an orphanage with two facilities. A new campus opened in Rosarito in 2006, where more than 80 boys and girls (from toddlers through Junior High age) live in dorms based on a group home model and attend school in and around the surrounding community. The other campus is the original one in Tijuana, where 30 young people live; 20 of them attend high school and 10 attend college on campus. There is also a battered women's shelter for abused women and their children.

TPCC has been involved with TCM almost since the beginning as member Ken Huff was on the founding board. As part of the church's 50th anniversary celebration, members participated in a church-wide service project that involved making care packages for each resident, praying for a child, participating in a work project at the Rosarito campus, sponsoring a child for the year, and providing Christmas gifts.

There will be approximately four mission trips to Tijuana Christian Mission this year and anyone is invited to participate. Please visit www.tijuanachristianmission.org for more information about the organization and on how to sponsor a child.

If you would like information on attending a mission trip, please email to tcm@torreypineschurch.net.
