Evergreen

The mission of Evergreen of Torrey Pines Christian Church is to bring together the seniors (those 55 and over) of TPCC and the surrounding community for the purposes of fellowship, spiritual growth and Christian service to the church and the community. The officers of the organization attempt to provide opportunities for fellowship both at the church and on field trips of interest to the community. Church events are usually associated with luncheons, both pot luck and catered with special programs of interest generally presented following the meal. Recent trips have included the Reagan Library and Museum, the Crystal Cathedral, the USS Midway Museum and the Balboa Park Organ Pavilion Concerts. We have also gone to see the Lamb's Players "Godspell" production at the Horton Grand Theater, "A Christmas Carol, the Musical" production at the Lawrence Welk Theater, and a bus trip to view the "Nethercutt Collection" (vintage antique cars, furniture and automated musical instruments) at the San Sylmar Museum (in the San Fernando Valley.)
