Thank you for your interest in the Torrey Pines Christian Church Chancel Choir! It is our hope that each of the members of the department and congregation find the music of Torrey Pines to be truly inspirational. We also hope you will experience God, not only through our ears, but also through our eyes, hearts and voices, whether it is coming from the pew, the handbells or the choir.
The Chancel Choir is a fellowship of dedicated Disciples of Christ who feel called to serve in the Music Ministry. As singing in the Chancel Choir is a group activity, being a member of the Choir involves working together to give our best to God in leading worship each Sunday. As we all have many commitments, enjoying Chancel Choir membership means choosing to make attendance at Thursday rehearsals and Sunday services a top priority for the benefit of this special ministry of service to God and for the well being of the entire Chancel Choir. The Chancel Choir serves in leading the traditional worship service from September through June. Those who choose the choral ministry of the Chancel Choir as their avenue of Christian service understand this means making weekly attendance at rehearsals a priority in their discipleship of service to Christ. Thursday evening choir rehearsals are from 7:15-9:15 pm and Sunday morning warm-up rehearsals are at 10:00 am for the 10:30am service. In addition to singing on Sunday mornings, the Chancel Choir presents two special concerts each year as part of the TPCC Concert Series.
Become a part of the Choir! For more information about becoming a member of the TPCC Chancel Choir, please email our Director of Music at bradenmckinley@torreypineschurch.net or just come to a rehearsal. In doing so, you will become a vital part of our loving fellowship that worships and sings together each week in service to our Lord - and the Choir will become an important part of a rewarding personal Christian journey for you! We look forward to forming new relationships and growing both musically and spiritually in what promises to be a bright future.
